During years 1995-2015 the Finnish doctoral education was developed and funded by national graduate schools. Most of the graduate schools were networked projects jointly run by several universities. The functioning collaboration between universities in doctoral education was continued by establishing doctoral education networks. Also totally new networks have been established.

The doctoral education networks make educational collaboration through seminars, courses, summer schools and events and they help students to network and offer them peer support.

The school of science coordinates or participates in the following networks (2018-2021):

Brain & Mind

CMMP- Network in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics

Doctoral Education Network in Systems Analysis, Decision Making and Risk Management

ENNUSTE - Doctoral Education Network in Nuclear Science and Technology
