Previous curricula of the programme (until 1.8.2018 as Master’s Programme in Nano and Radio Sciences) can be found in the Nano and Radio Sciences Into-page.

Master's Programme in Electronics and Nanotechnology is organized by the School of Electrical Engineering. The programme consists of four (4) majors:

  • Micro- and Nanoelectronic Circuit Design
  • Microwave Engineering
  • Photonics and Nanotechnology
  • Space Science and Technology

All the majors consist of 65 ECTS of studies. The extent of the Master of Science (Tech) degree is 120 ECTS credits which means two years of full-time studies.

The recommended study schedules (will be updated in the summer 2018 for the academic year 2018-2019) are found under Planning your studies.

This website is mainly aimed at the students studying in the programme. The site contains the student study guide for the master’s programme with materials and instructions on all the majors available in the programme. Here you will find the programme curriculum as well as detailed guidelines for planning your studies.

If you want to apply for the programme, please see

The Degree Programme Committee is responsible for the development of the programme along with general development initiatives at the School of Electrical Engineering. The programme committee has student representatives ("hallopeds") who are recruited yearly by the AYY.

By becoming a student representative, you can take part in the programme development. You can also contact the current representatives to put forward proposals and to give feedback. Through course feedback and study wellbeing survey (for first year MSc students) you can also influence teaching practices and programme management.
