Key card and access rights to premises

All the entrance doors and some of the inside doors of the buildings of the School of Business are electronically controlled and locked outside of the normal opening hours (Mon-Fri 8.00-19.30). To enter the premises i.e. to get access to the study halls, computer labs, group/independent study premises and sports facilities, you need a personal key card and a personal PIN-code.

You will receive the key card and pin-code during the orientation week or you can pick it up from Arkadia building (Technical Services). Read the instructions and return the key card confirmation form to the mail box of the main building entrance hall. The first key card is free of charge. Hold the card 5 cm distance from the card reader, remove the card and give your PIN-code and press #.

Payment for a lost card (and any additional new card) is 33 €, which you have to pay before receiving the new card to the account of School of Business: Nordea 166030-60460. When graduating from the School of Business, please return your key card to Technical Services in the Arkadia Building. Payment for an unreturned card is 84 €. Do not give your card to anyone else.

In case you lose your key card, you must report it immediately +358 50 520 8524 (between 8-12) and +358 50 402 7042 (12-16) or by Email vartija@aalto.fi. Report your full name and date of birth. You are liable for any damage due to unauthorized use of your key card from the moment of loss until the loss is reported.

Main building

Address: Runeberginkatu 14-16 

The Main Building is open from 8 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. during the fall and spring terms.

The classrooms in the Main Building are denoted with A-xxx, B-xxx or C-xxx. The capital letters refer to the wings of the building, and xxx are numbers signifying the classrooms or offices. The first number indicates also the floor, e.g. the classroom A-410 is located on the fourth floor of A-wing. In the Main Building, A-wing is situated on the right, B-halls in the middle and C-wing on the left.
