The orientation for new degree students starts on 2 September 2019 at 10 am. Orientation programme is common for all students, except of programme/major specific parts.

10.00 - 12.00 School's welcome and presentation of master’s programmes + guilds (incl. lunch)

Tuesday 3 September

Major specific orientations (compulsory):

Major specific orientation gives you the most important information regarding your major. You will get to know the content of your studies and you will meet professors, lecturer and academic advisors. Major specific orientation sessions will be held as below:

Aalto Party is an official but more relaxed after-party to the opening of the academic year. This party brings together students and staff in various outdoor activities.

Major specific orientations (compulsory):

  • Safety course, if not completed in bachelor studies



    Safety course is compulsory for the students who have NOT done any of the following courses:

  • CHEM-A1400 Tulevaisuuden materiaalit

  • KE-35.1210 Epäorgaanisen kemian laboratoriotyöt
