Get prepared – application period for student exchange places for the academic year 2012-2013 is at the door!

The spring 2012 application period for student exchange in technology and engineering will start on 1 February and ends on 1 March 2012. During this application period students of technology and engineering can apply for exchange places for the academic year 2012-2013 or only for autumn term 2012/spring term 2013. Destinations to apply on this application round are: Europe (Erasmus-exchange), Nordic countries (Nordtek/Nordplus-exchange), Asia (Hong Kong, China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan),  Australia,  North and South America (Canada, United States, Mexico) and in Magalhães-network also to Chile, Brazil and Mexico. And remember, that Aalto University wants to encourage students to study abroad and thus supports the students with the student exchange scholarship. Aalto University scholarships are 1500e/one term and 2500/academic year and they are granted automatically for every student getting an exchange place at one of the partner universities of Aalto University.

Please note, that an international degree student may not apply for an exchange student place in his/her own country. One can confirm this with the coordinator of the exchange place in concern. It is also very important to always talk first with the planning officer of your programme about your plans to ensure that there is still space in your degree for exchange as all the credits earned during the exchange have to be included into Aalto University degree.
