Content and structure of the minor

IDBM is a multidisciplinary programme organised in collaboration with all Aalto schools. The International Design Business Management minor programme builds on prior studies in the areas of business, design and technology by enabling and encouraging students to further develop and integrate their knowledge in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. The minor is available in three tracks: IDBM Industry minor, IDBM Service minor (SLUSH) and IDBM FITECH minor.
The IDBM minor programme is available for all master level students of Aalto through separate application. Kindly state in your application into which minor track you are applying. The application period for IDBM minor is yearly May 15 – 31.

Structure of the minor 25 ECTS

IDBM INDUSTRY MINOR

IDBM Industry minor has educated talents of tomorrow more than 24 years. The minor aims to provide participants with an opportunity to develop their competences and capabilities to successfully undertake creative teamwork, concept development, product, service and business design as well as project management through industry collaboration and tailor-made courses in design business management. The minor consists of compulsory introductory course JOIN-E7006 IDBM Challenge 5 cr and alternative courses of 20 cr. Students can choose JOIN-E7005 IDBM Industry Project 15 cr as one of the alternative courses of the minor.
