2.Enrollment at Aalto

3.Activate your Aalto account

4.Apply for a student card.
As an AYY member you may order a plastic student card (€16.10 + delivery fee), and/or use a digital student card, Frank App, in your smartphone. where:www.frank.fi when: after enrollment
5.Travel card with student discount
Update your student status at HSL and get your travel card for the public transport. You can also use your HSL travel card to access some of the university builidings and to print, by first activating the card online.

6.Residence registration (54 EUR)
REQUIRED for EU citizens staying in Finland for over 3 months non-stop
Please note that with the residence registration, you will automatically be registered in the Finnish Population Information System (if Finnish authority has verified your identity). At that point, you will also receive a Finnish personal identity code.
Finnish personal identity code is required for e.g. opening a Finnish bank account, getting a municipal library card etc.

Ordering a library card You can also use your personal student card as a library card if there is a barcode printed on the card. In that case the card first needs to be activated by visiting the library customer service
