Welcome to James Hewitt’s lecture on Survive & Thrive in the Future of Work!

What?

Life and work are changing fast. We will live and work for longer than previous generations. Automation will change the nature of many human roles. To survive and thrive we need to put a greater emphasis on cultivating the human capabilities  which are most difficult to replicate, retrain our focus and rediscover how to recover. In this interactive and informative presentation, explore new research, fresh ideas and practical tools to design a more human-centric approach to life and work that will underpin health and sustainable high-performance.

The lecture will be held in English.

Lecture is open for students and staff!

HeiaHeia is engaging and social wellbeing service created by leading wellbeing experts at Hintsa Performance with the aim to help you find the healthy habits that bring you joy and energy!

HeiaHeia guides you to set meaningful wellbeing targets and helps you achieve them. Exercise, steps, sleep, weight: whatever your targets are, achieve them by small daily steps that accumulate into remarkable long term gains.

Morning and After Lunch Mindfulness sessions

Wed 3.10, 9-10: Mindfulness morning-session: Getting things done with self-compassion?

Fri 5.10, 12-13: Mindfulness after-lunch-session: Stress-management and daily “active stopping”

Both mindfulness-session are open for students and staff.

You do not need have experience of mindfulness or meditation beforehand to attend, but also those already familiar with mindfulness are very welcome to join. We will do mindfulness-exercises together.

Workshops are led by Aalto study psychologist.
