Would you like to be part of a multidisciplinary team composed by colleagues from other national and foreign schools to work together for a few weeks trying to solve an important challenge related to the sustainability of our oceans?


Development of innovative technological solutions to characterize and mitigate ocean pollution by plastics, ensuring biodiversity and sustainable reuse of these materials in applications with economic value.

Based on the educational concept developed at TU Darmstadt and applied to the INSPIRED project, the ULisses project from the University of Lisbon will have its first edition in the second semester of 2020/2021 academic year.

For a period of 3 weeks, the students will be part of an international multidisciplinary team, whose task will be to develop innovative techniques that may contribute to the solution of a challenge related to the sustainability of the Oceans. These weeks of teamwork will be preceded by a 10 week preparatory course phase (via e-learning).

  • Students from UNITE! universities*, including Aalto University, are granted full scholarships
