SCI Awards celebrates the great work and achievements of our faculty, staff and students annually. As of 2018 the proposal form will be open continuously, so you can propose nominees throughout the year and the proposals will be reviewed annually in November. For SCI Awards 2018 the proposals will be collected until November 16th 2018. Proposals starting November 17th will be included in the 2019 nominations and review process. You may propose a nominee in all of the categories, in just one, or anything in between. Please fill in a separate proposal form for each nominee.
SCI Awards will be granted in the following categories in 2018:
- Alumnus of the Year
The Alumnus of the Year award is granted for pioneering or exceptional work, societal impact or efforts to increase the visibility of the School of Science.
- Teaching Award
The Teaching Award is granted to inspiring and committed teacher/teachers or for a teaching action/development effort to support learning.
- Innovation of the Year
The Innovation of the Year Award is granted for a specific research based innovation.
- Scientific Communication Award
The Scientific Communication Award is granted for efforts in enhancing the visibility of research done at SCI.
- Service Person of the Year
The Service Person of the Year Award is granted for a person with exceptional commitment and service attitude.
- Team-building and Co-operation Award
The Team-building and Co-operation Award is granted for activities enhancing collaborative working and team spirit, or for special group effort in research, teaching, services or student activities.
- Teaching Assistant of the Year
The Teaching Assistant of the Year is granted to inspiring and committed teaching assistant/group of assistants.
The School of Science Quality group acts as a panel to review the proposals and the Dean makes the final decision on the recipients of the awards. The awards will be announced in a ceremony during Dean’s Christmas party on December 19th 2018.
