Baltic Summer School


International Baltic Summer School 2014 will introduce the business perspective in the Baltic states at the crossroads of East and West. The program has been compiled by leading business schools in the Baltic countries. It includes lectures and workshops on doing business in the Baltic states, group work and company visits, travelling in the Baltics in order to see cultural differences and similarities while being in the group of the international students. Students can take part in 2 courses out of 10 which are wide aspects of business, culture, economics, history, politics and sociology in the context of Japan and Asia pacific, offering 4 credits for 2 courses. Tsinghua University offers a tuition waiver placement in their summer school "Experiencing China" (August 1-14, 2016) for a student in Aalto University technical school (the School of Chemical Technology, the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Engineering, or the School of Science).

In order to apply, please return the application form to no later than Monday 6 June 2016. If there are more applicants, the tuition waiver placement will be decided on study index. Students may apply for the normal placements (with tuition fees) directly from Tsinhua University.

Summer University 2015 in Thailand: Entrepreneurship in Asia

Within this academic graduate summer program, your students will begin and end their course in Bangkok, but will also attend events on Ko Samet Island, in Pattaya and Jomtien, Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai.

The study program covers 45 contact hours plus a 3 hours final examination. The three modules are
• Cross-cultural Communication,
• Creating Entrepreneurial Mindsets, and
• Meet the Entrepreneur in Thought and Action in 6 company visits.

Each module is awarded 1 graduate Bangkok University credit, which may translate into 2 ECTS credits due to the work load as calculated according to the EU ECTS User Guideline. Credits, grades and workload will be testified in a Transcript of Records. Working language is English for all classes; knowledge of the Thai language is not required.

Finding Nano

This six week intensive program offers a nanotechnology lecture and a lab course in English, with site visits to leading research centres, and an intensive German language course offered both at beginner and intermediate levels. The Summer School is directed to undergraduates of science and engineering who have completed an introduction to quantum mechanics or quantum chemistry.

This program will take place from June 15th - July 26th 2015.

The four week summer school “Engineering and Management across Cultures” provides an introduction to key TUM research areas: Geodesy and Management. Students can choose one of these focuses of the Summer School.
A particular highlight of the course is an intensive seminar of several days taking place either at the Wettzell observatory or at Straubing Center of Science.

Kaikki kulut kattavalla stipendillä opiskellaan kesällä 2015 viiden viikon ajan joko Institute on Environmental Stewardship- tai Institute on Social Entrepreneurship -ohjelmassa Yhdysvalloissa. Koulutuksen aikana tutustutaan ympäristötieteisiin tai yhteiskunnalliseen yrittämiseen liittyvien aiheiden lisäksi myös yhdysvaltalaiseen kulttuuriin ja yhteiskuntaan. Stipendejä voivat hakea kaikkien tieteenalojen opiskelijat ja hakijoita toivotaan eri puolilta Suomea. Hakijoilla ei saa olla aiempaa Yhdysvaltain kokemusta.

Fulbright Center valitsee Suomesta kaksi ehdokasta kumpaankin Instituuttiin. Lopulliset stipendiaattivalinnat kansainvälisestä ehdokasjoukosta tekee Yhdysvaltain ulkoministeriö huhtikuun 2015 lopulla.

Hakuaika päättyy keskiviikkona 18.2.2015 klo 10.

St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University

St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University Summer School offers a number of academic courses in a wide range of subjects, lasting from 1 to 12 weeks during the summer 2014. They provide European Credits for most courses. Besides the academic program they offer fully furnished housing in the student dormitory and many included and extra social activities.
