The information on this page for MSc. students starting their studies in autumn 2018 will be updated during spring and summer 2018.

Below we have compiled some of the most urgent matters to consider as a new Master's student at Aalto University School of Business.

Orientation to studies

We welcome our new Master's students to orientation that will take place 3-7 September 2018.

All new MSc. students are expected to participate in the orientation week. Topics covered during the orientation are:

  • practical matters and general information regarding the MSc. studies
  • getting to know the Student Union (AYY) and KY (Aalto University Business Students)
  • study skills and self-assessment
  • other master's curriculum studies (exchange studies, JOO-studies, internal mobility, credit transfer, studying languages, CEMS)
  • information retrieval and library services
  • career services
  • getting to know the campus and most importantly your fellow students!

The orientation schedule will be updated during the summer.

In addition to the orientation days, the Master’s programmes arrange a welcoming event to their new Master’s students. The Study Coordinators inform their students of the date and venue for the event closer to the start of the studies.

If you need information about accepting the admission offer, applying with an incomplete degree, enrolment for new students, tuition fees, residence permit, applying for accommodation, IT-accounts etc., please see the webpage for new master's level students.

Especially for our international students we have compiled useful information about living in Finland (transportation, financial matters etc.): please see the webpages for international students here.

Planning your studies is also an essential part of starting your studies. You can find information about personal study plan, course registration etc. on the left hand menu under "Planning your studies".
