Aalto student, welcome to continue our strategy work at Harald Herlin Learning Centre, Otaniementie 9, on Wednesday 27 March 2019 at 12.30!

It's your turn to make an impact again – come with an open mind to suggest new and brave solutions with your fellow students and Aalto personnel.

This time we will dig deeper into the themes that our community found of biggest importance at the Strategy kick-off event in January: education, sustainability and infrastructures. Vice Presidents Petri Suomala (education) and Ossi Naukkarinen (sustainability) and Professor Jukka Seppälä (infrastructures) will lead us to the subject. After their introductions you will have the possibility to discuss and give your answers.

Education: The working life is changing rapidly, and the need for lifelong learning changes education as well. What should Aalto focus on in educating future experts? How should we develop degree structures? How should we approach lifelong learning or online education?

Sustainability: Aalto University is the first university in Finland to commit to promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals in its activities. Which SDGs especially should we solve? How should our research contribute to SDGs? How do we develop sustainable campus?

Infras: Research and teaching infrastructures are essential in many of our fields and they need to be developed and updated continuously to stay competitive. How do we improve and support our infrastructures? Which infrastructures should we prioritize? How do we ensure their efficient use? How should they be funded?

Welcome to participate, all views are important – both the bold future ideas and the development proposals related to our current activities!
