School of Engineering holds several information events for students during orientation week and later in September. The aim of these events is to support studies as they begin or continue.

Orientation week for new students is held 2–6 September 2019 at breakfast from 8.30 am and at 9.00 with a welcome event held by the School of Engineering in hall U2 (Otakaari 1). Incoming first-year students of the School of Engineering were given a summer assignment. Its aim is to orientate students toward studies and current and future challenges engineers face. Master’s students orientation MyCourses: ENG-E3010 - Introduction to Master's Studies in Engineering, Students are introduced to Aalto study essentials, teamwork, scientific writing, group working skills and master´s programmes studies. During the Service Day on Thu 5.9. students will let to know about Aalto services, organizations and Student Health Care services (YTHS).

An Information Event for students attending practical training courses will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 2:15 pm (Otakaari 4 hall 326). At he event, students can get useful tips and guidelines for writing reports, as well as information on completing training courses .
