Helsinki-Aalto Center for Information Security (HAIC) is a strategic initiative set up by Aalto University and the University of Helsinki to ensure excellence in information security research and education. HAIC provides scholarships for the top students specializing in information security, travel grants for local students going on exchange studies (starting in autumn 2019) and industry contacts by organizing various events where local infosec academia and industry can get together e.g. company visits and Secure Systems Demo Days.

As part of HAIC’s public outreach program, HAIC organizes HAIC Talks, a series of public lectures on contemporary topics in information security.
