Attachments to the application: Personal study plan and electric portfolio of comics expression in free form.
Study plan and portfolio should be attached to the application in the eAge - or JOOPAS system
by May 31. Please include your name in the portfolio.
Level of the minor: Basic studies (Primarily for BA-level students)
Quotas and restrictions: Maximum of 16 students are admitted yearly.

Content and structure of the minor
Learning outcomes: After completing the minor students will be able to utilize storytelling as well as visual and comics expression in creative work. They will be able to work on an independent comic art project.
Content of the minor: The students who complete the minor in English, the minor of 15 ECTS include 13 ECTS compulsory studies and 2 ECDS elective studies. In addition maximum of 10 ECTS elective courses can be included to the minor.
Students will develop their personal expression through the work processes of comics expression, narrative methods and writing. Students will also be introduced to the history of comics, contemporary comic art and artists of today. The elective studies provide students with possibilities of creating an independent comic art work and learning various traditional or digital techniques of visual expression.
